Choosing the Right Woven Poly Plastic
Wondering what kind of plastic to use for your project? Use our guidelines below to take some of the guesswork out of it.
For light-loving flowers and most food production, especially with high light plants like tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and melons, use 10 mils clear. They allow in maximum light for your plants while evenly distributing the light so you don't have to worry about hot spots.
Pond Liners
To line the bottoms of your fish ponds etc., the best option is our 12 mils or 24 mils black/silver poly plastic. It's highly durable and blocks light from the soil below the pond liner, preventing grass, moss, etc. from trying to grow under the liner.
It can be ordered in small and large sizes.
Farming, Sheds, and Tarps
If you're looking for barn curtains, tarps, sheds, covers for grain, woodpiles, your machinery, a barn, or shed roof or mulching, 12 mils black/silver is, overall, our most popular product as it is lighter weight, but still keeps the sun off/out and very durable. For much heavier jobs, you can also use 24 mils black.
White/White Poly Plastic
White on both sides, it will reflect light inside and outside. Enough light comes through to see.
